Offline update file OSU2.zip's system.xvd file corrupt. Can I download it separately?

I've been stuck with a brick xbox one that wouldn't update so the error code it gave said I should update offline using the OSU2 file (2gb).

I have managed to extract all the other files using 7-zip at full size except the system.xvd file which is about 216MB instead of about 1.2GB - Can I download this file elsewhere?

This is a new XBOX One Original that I've just received from Microsoft as a replacement for my old one with the same problem. I'm dreading booking it in for service again.

Hi,

I finally managed to download the OSU2 uncorrupted. I will update on how it goes later when I attempt the offline update...

I see you're trying to update offline. No problem, can you tell us the exact code you get when you are trying to update offline?

It should start with a Exxx xxxxxxxx Example E101, E200, etc. That will help narrow down which step to use first.

Tip:

Perform an offline system update

To perform this update, you will need:

A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
A USB flash drive with a minimum 4 GB of space formatted as NTFS.

Most USB flash drives come formatted as FAT32 and will have to be reformatted to NTFS. Note that formatting a USB flash drive for this procedure will erase all files on it. Back up or transfer any files on your flash drive before you format
the drive. For information about how to format a USB flash drive to NTFS using a PC, see How to format a flash drive to NTFS on Windows.

Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
Open the Offline System Update file OSU2
Click Save to save the console update .zip file to your computer.
Unzip the file. For all Windows OS versions, unzip the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting Extract all from the pop-up menu.
Copy the $SystemUpdate file from the .zip file to your flash drive.

Note The files should be copied to the root directory, and there shouldn't be any other files on the flash drive.
Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.

Hi, see below. I went to troubleshoot (selected "I got an error code", OS didn't match those in the troubleshoot, etc) on the site and was suggested that I download the OSU2 first then OSU1.

So I downloaded the file but could not extract contents successfully and that's why we're here
