    Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool


    Getting the green screen of death. After reading the support articles and trouble shooting I've hit a wall. It loads the USB drive and starts the update. But as I get through about 1/3 of the way I get a message that says System Error. Contact Customer
    Support. The code is E101 81070005 8007045D.

    I've found that 8007045D is "Sorry, Xbox Live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later. Status code 8007045D"

    How do I get the diagnostic tool to work?

    Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool

    Unfortunately, if you are getting the E101 error, there is no way to get it to work, you will have to send it in for repair.

    You can do this 1 of 2 ways.

    1) Go to myservice.xbox.com and set up a repair yourself

    2) Call 1-800-4My-Xbox and set up a repair with an agent.

    The e101 error doesnt mean it needs to be repaired.... The e100 error means it needs to be repaired. E101 is you downloaded the wrong update and you need to download the correct one and try again. Then it should work properly
