    Offline System update and E101 system Error code.


    All right so here's the deal.

    Yesterday I came home from work to simply hop on and you know distress like most gamers do after work and with the recent update for the console I went ahead to update it but something went wrong. So what did i do?

    I tried to download it again, when that didn't work i unplugged the router for the wireless for a good minute, nothing. Next, restarted the console, still nothing. My last resort was to do a hard reset and to keep games and apps on it, Welp, did all of that
    and still nothing, so now im on the text support and doing a troubleshoot, did all of that, still nothing and was told to do a offline Systems update.

    Today, i did just that, got me a flashdrive, and downloaded all the OSUs 1, 2, and 3 and tried each one separately. The whole night. And i still get the E101 error code. So now I'm down to factory resetting the whole damn thing (which im not trying to do)
    or requesting a repair (which im not trying to do either) or just buy another whole new console. Is there anything else i didn't do that i could try to do or are they my only options?

    I got error code E101 so i did go to the error code solutions and i downloaded the offline software update file but when i want to extract the files it says there’s nothing in the offline system update file to extract

    i was able to get the troubleshoot mode to come up. i was able to download the update on to the USB.

    once i plugged the USB into the xbox and selected update offline. i receieve an error code automatically.

    System Error: E101 00000504 8B050041.

    a google search led me to this site:

    which leads me back to updating offline using a USB.

    You may have accidentally downloaded an incorrect Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool file. Please review the instructions on how to locate the correct operating system version so that you can select the correct Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool file.
    Then, download and install the file again.

    Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Xbox One producing error codes E101 & E106. To continue the

    offline system update    , try using a different USB port on the console for the USB drive with the OSU files.
