    Offline reset


    Hello all,

    I posted a while ago about a problem I was having with my x box one being stuck on the green screen. Eventually it was determined that I should just send in my xbox to have it repaired. Since this idea is extremely unappealing to me I decided to try one
    last fix and attempt the offline reset. I have a few questions though: first off do I have to use a thumb drive or will an external hard drive work alright? Secondly if an external hard drive does work I am having a hard time getting the system to boot up
    properly. When I hold the bind+eject buttons and then press the power button it just attempts to turn on like normal instead of getting the two beeps and forcing it to read the USB port. Any suggestions?

    xbox one crashing

    well i have ran the offline system diagnose and had to us a reset to default. I have selected my language and country and reset the box. its now flashing. It seems i should leave it for 30mins to 1 hour. if its still flashing I need to go back to them.

    I had this problem as well.

    Support, Xbox com, and Google had no answers for 202.

    What worked for me was doing an offline reset and then also doing a reset - save games and apps from settings.

    The offline reset got my orig xbox one to boot, but it still had issues.

    The reset - save games and apps from settings after the offline reset got it to work again.

    Another tip - after the offline reset, do a save/ backup to disk and you wont have to set up your wifi a second time.

    What was done was a restore, in a restore the only thing that can be kept are the games, if you choose to keep them, otherwise it pays for everything. Error E203 is a boot error and cannot be resolved with just an update you need to reinstall the entire system with restore, which is probably what you could have done. As a player, I can only inform you, but any restoration procedure excludes accounts, as they install files in the system folders, which in turn are deleted, precisely so that the system can be restored to the factory, since when it comes from the factory he has nothing, if he kept the files it is likely that the problem would persist this is exactly how it works on a computer, and a console is just an operating system on a device, such as a cell phone or a pc, unfortunately you need to know about these information when restoring the system on an xbox, I advise you to try to backup your captures, and the games are linked to the accounts, just download them and you will have your games and progress again.

    well he is me and i think thats kinda stupid a offline update resets the console and it never stated or says on the offline update page that it deletes or resets the console

    10 years gone i dont trust xbox anymore
