    MS Flight Sim 2020.
    Plays online OK.
    Bought from MS company store.
    W11pro.

Game prompts for Disk (ffs) when loading and not online.
    Set offline in MS store.

Hours of MS 'support' who have finally dumped me off to the XBOX team.

    All user accounts the same.

    Have reinstalled windows and MSFS.

Have tried many many many threads.

Loosing the will to live. I can see this product is really quite bad (even when working, throttles randomly dissapear!!!)

I am flogging a dead horse? Peeing into the wind? Is it time to write off the cost of this product or is there any chance that the XBOX team may actually be able to prove useful to an end user?

    Many thanks

    Keith

    :)

Many thanks for the quick reply

I have carefully read through all your steps and can confirm I have completed these at least twice, including the reinstallation.

I have even flattened the disk drives and reinstalled windows.

I guess the offline option does not work for this game?

Time to write off this purchase and accept the product is not fit for purposes?

    Hello keith brankin,

I can see that you are having trouble playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 offline. There are a few possible solutions that you can try to fix this problem:

    - Make sure that your Windows 10 is up to date and that you have the latest version of the game installed.

    - Check your internet connection and make sure that it is stable and fast enough to download the game data.

    - Launch the game from the Xbox app or the Start menu, not from the Microsoft Store app.

    - Sign in with the same Microsoft account that you used to purchase the game and make sure that it is set as your primary account on your device.

    - If none of these steps work, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game, but be aware that this will delete any saved data that is not synced to the cloud.

SIGN IN WITH YOUR MICROSOFT ACCOUNTTo sync your settings and purchases across all your devices, sign in with your Microsoft account.

RESTART YOUR DEVICEAs basic as this is, a simple restart can set many things right.

MAKE SURE WINDOWS IS UP TO DATE
    1. Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
    2. On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
    3. On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available for your device.
    4. Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
    5. Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.

    • Select Date & Time and toggle the “Set time automatically setting" and “Set time zone automatically” to ON.
    • Click on Synchronize your clock to synchronize your system's clock with an Internet time server.
    • Then click Region, double-check that your country or region is correctly set up (for example if you live in Canada, make sure that the region isn’t automatically set to the USA or vice-versa)

    INSTALL THE XBOX APP
    • On your Windows device, select Search on the taskbar, type Xbox, and then select it from the list. If the app isn’t installed, you can get it for free from the Microsoft Store.
    >> Get the Xbox app for Windows

    1. Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.

Don't bother DeathsHead. According to him and other MS supporters people like you are bad for the industry and MS is right in trying to drive you out of business.

    .

@Bad- Are you aware of the 24 hour check in? If you don't log into the internet every 24 hours your games won't work. You cannot play single player games offline. If you want to you're also killing the industry and MS is right in excluding you.

    Easy 24HR Check-in fix

Even steam lets you play games offline because I lost internet for over 1 week and I could play my game OFFLINE. MS does not get this.
