Offline gaming not working cause xbox live is down

My question is: I've bought dead or alive 5 last round (digital edition) via the xbox store. I have installed it and disabled throwdowns. All was great till the xbox live crash. Now i cant start the game. I cant play offline game bacause online errors. Any
idea what to do to run the game or whom shall i get in touch with to get my money back? I dont play online in this game, i dont care about online in this game. But it seems i need the online method to even start the game. that sucks and that was not mentioned

360 Live is working. Weird how Xbox One side goes down so much and with all the updates why you still can't sign in offline to play a game.

 

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. See if that resolves your issues.

 

Genesis please eleborate how to reinstall if you can't reach store.

I know some games requer Online even the game works offline too. Like last NFS. It requers Online but nothing in the game is really online as you race against AI. Guess that the X1 is less offline possible then they say from Microsoft. And partly it's also
the developers.

But I remember when I had several days no internet I had trouble starting several games including FIFA that I have on disk. So Microsoft your story about ony internet needed for initional set-up is false as several things that only stored local don't work
like Pins.

 

^^ Both FIFA & Need For Speed are EA titles. EA utilizes their own servers which you have to connect to when you boot up a game. Your beef is with EA... not Microsoft.

 

If my beef is with Microsoft, my beef is with Microsoft. And yes NFS is EA but the Savegames is Xbox One in case of FIFA and enough other games (Dead or Alive isn't EA). The whole people are not able to play Digital games when Internet down is Microsoft.And
my comment is wider then games only, like I mentioned Pins.

^^ It shouldn't, as long as you're playing the game on the console/gamertag that purchased the game.

 

If you make your Xbox one the home Xbox, then you should have no issues playing digital games offline. If you still get the error, try disconnecting the Xbox from your internet, sometimes that works.
