    Hi all,

    Hoping someone from Microsoft can get back to me here with a definitive answer..

    I recently played out Doom 2016 (reliving my younger gaming days) and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect, collectibles, weapon mods, the secrets within secrets. However I opted to 'play offline' because there was a 17GB update required and my internet speed is
    tortoise-esque to say the least.

    Anyway, my point, is that I nearly completed the entire game (updated and played out the last 2 levels connected to Xbox Live) yet NONE of my statistics and achievements from prior to connecting online have not been recorded/synced.

    From a little bit of googling I can see this is a common problem, I read through the sticky thread (Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.) and after following all steps (short of unlocking the achievements again - which
    is a ridiculous 'solution') I find I am still short changed. There are achievements I haven't received which would be impossible not to unlock before unlocking ones that I have, such as complete the game.

    I would love to know why, how and if there is some kind of work around for this issue? Or is it something I have to just get over? I really didn't want to wait the 1-2 days before playing due to size of the update required just so my achievements and killcounts
    etc can be saved. Is this the only way? SURELY not ?

    I've been playing offline and still unlocking achievements.

    The only difference between unlocking achievements offline and online is that achievements unlocked when offline are not date stamped.

    Online achievements

    Hello,

    Those achievements are not obtainable any longer. You can simply play the game offline and earn all of the offline achievements. You wouldn't be able to 100% the game if it has achievements that require online when their servers are offline.

    If you're able to connect without having to redownload your account, then your offline achievements should sync up. If you have to redownload your account, it won't see your offline achievements.

    Achievements Dissapeared...

    All of the achievements you got in the original game were unlocked offline. That may be the problem. If you earn achievements offline you must be signed in to that copy of the profile next time you sign in. There are 2 copies of your profile - offline and
    online. They are usually always in sync. But if you take a copy to a mates place or have an offline console they can get out of sync. If you then recover your profile you replace your offline profile with the out of date online profile.

    Why you are loosing me as a Xbox customer

    There is only a
    limited queue     for achievements when your Xbox One console is used to unlock achievements offline. Piling up thousands of gamerscore points offline is not likely to sync successfully.

    Since achievements are ultimately logged online, you must connect your console to the internet every once in a while to sync it with your Xbox account.

    Hi byNeizo,

    At any point in time did you unlock these achievements while offline on the Xbox 360?

    Achievements are synced over Xbox Live so if you unlocked achievements on the old Xbox 360 while offline, then your progress will not be reflected if you get a new console or on True Achievement website.

    Xbox One achievements are not unlocking or very delayed

    If you did play the game offline the achievements will not unlock until you get online and sync the game progress with the cloud .
