Offline Achievements no longer tracking. PLEASE HELP.

When I first got my original model Xbox One, I was initially confused why I wasn't getting achievements while playing games offline. I quickly found out that its supposed to track the achievement progress, and any achievements you earned would be unlocked
when it was reconnected to the internet. Not a problem. I would go to work, set up my system, play a bit through the night, go home, hook it back up to the internet at my house.

    Achievement Unlocked

After one of the system updates about a year ago it all stopped. I would play through a game, but every day when I reconnected to the internet I would no longer unlock achievements. I never go more than 12 hours disconnected.

I tried resetting the console, deleting the profile and redownloading, power cycling the system, but nothing works. I tried making a new profile and played some games while offline at work, but when I came home, it too didn't unlock anything.

I went out yesterday to buy a new Xbox console. The Halo Wars 2 1tb model. I redownloaded the profile, the games, set it as my home xbox, set it all up... went to work... played through some Bioshock 1, and some Duke Nukem 3D World Tour, and when I got
home about two hours ago, yet again, no achievements unlocked. I check the progress in the tabs, and there is no progress. No "Done!... Unlocking...". Nothing.

Many games are getting screwed up because of this, since my game progress remains, but any achievement progress is gone. Most achievements now a days are unlocking out of order when I play a game while home on a day off. When Titanfall 2 came out, I beat
the campaign on Master difficulty over the course of a week at work, and each day, no achievements unlocked. When I finally played some at my house, on my day off, when I started the tutorial it unlocked the achievement for beating it on Master (and all other
difficulties). THEN I got the Tutorial achievement after I finished it.

Trying to figure it out myself, I've tried playing games with easy to get achievements, because I remember I used to get "Offline Achievements almost full!" messages periodically, but even now I don't get any messages warning me about it.

Can someone please try following my steps, and if it still works for you, then... I don't know.

When I go to work... 1- I turn off my system. 2- Unplug it. 3- Bring it to work. 4- Hook it up. 5- Turn it on at a location with no internet connection. 6- Set the date/time to the proper date/time manually (have to since it defaults to 2014). 7-
Play a game. 8- Repeat steps 1-5, but with it being at home WITH internet connection.

    :)

Xbox One no longer tracking offline achievements.

Nightstepshadow, I already did everything, including a full system wipe. Nothing changed.

Mister Maka, yes, it happens with all games. Such as- Kingdom: New Lands. I survived until day 15 while online, then went offline while at work and made it to day 42. When I got online, nothing unlocked. Hours went by as I played other games, even when
I booted Kingdom: New Lands, nothing unlocked. It wasn't until I surived 1 more day that I got the Survive day 20, 25,30,35, & 40 achievements. HOWEVER... they unlocked out of order.

They unlocked in the order of "Survive day 35" then "40", then 20, 25, and lastely 30.

When I play games like Fallout 4 or Wolfenstein, it seems once I pass a certain point of the game while offline, I can not get that achievement unless I start a new game while online and complete the mission while online. Because of this, most of my achievements
are unlocking out of order, or not at all ever since the Early August update.

Offline Achievements no longer tracking. PLEASE HELP.

Sorry to double post, but I can't edit my previous post.

I tried something earlier. Now that I'm at home. I turned off my router (disconnecting me from the internet) and played a bit of a game. After doing what constitutes as an achievement I saved, turned off my system and after a minute, unplugged my console.
Replugged it after a minute, turned on the router, and when I connected to Xbox Live I recieved no achievement.

Then I did the same exact thing, but did NOT unplug the system, only the router. As soon as I turned both back on (without unplugging) two achievements unlocked.

So... what I can only assume is Offline Achievements are stored in a bit of memory that when the system is unplugged or power cycled, clears the cache along with the achievements. The only thing I can think of that makes sense. Oddly, it didn't used to
do this, as I said. I used to be able to unplug my system, go home, and unlock a few achievements a day. Only after... I think it was the May update(?) last year did it start doing this.

  5. Hey there Deus X EXE,

That's exactly how the system works, (with the achievements being stored offline). Now you need to make sure that you put the console in offline mode, so that console will store those offline achievements. When you reconnect to Xbox Live it can take up to
around 72 hours for those Achievements to unlock. If you do run into any issues, we do have a FAQ/Troubleshooting guide

    HERE
that can assist with these problems. Make sure when you try the steps you give it the full 72 hours to resolve, before you move on to Step 3 which is the Survey.

    Hope that helps!

I swear to god if I see that FAQ one more time I will snap. I've already done all those steps. I've already done the survey, which is a joke since I've given them screenshots of my accomplishments from my profile and they've fixed nothing, and thats been
months ago. I've already tried turning my console to Offline Mode. This has been happening for a year now, believe me I've tried it. I tried the "put the console in offline mode" thing two weeks ago.

Every night for that week I had set the console to Offline mode. Turned it off. Unplugged it. Set it up in the gaming briefcase I have. Got to my destination. Plugged it up. Played it for a few hours. Turned it off. Unplugged it. Brought it home.
    Hooked it back up.

    No achievements.

I get that what you said is supposed to be how the system works. I get it. It doesn't however. Please, try it. TRY IT YOURSELF. Play a game after you set it to offline and do a few achievements. Turn the system off and then unplug it for a few minutes.
Replug it, turn it on, and turn it to Online. I will guarantee you that if you disconnect the power supply from the back of the system for a few minutes, you wont get any achievements. Not then, not 72 hours from then.

  7. It sounds like the issue may be that the console hasn't been consistently connected for more than 72 hours at a time if I'm understanding correctly. To clarify, as soon as you connect the console to Xbox Live again, the Achievements are highly unlikely to
pop right away, That's why we suggest 72 hours, because sometimes they don't sync with the servers right away and sometimes you need to play the game a bit so it will sync up. There isn't a way around that system to force them to unlock earlier.

If you leave the console connected to Xbox Live for 72 hours (turning off of course is okay, but without putting the console into offline mode) does that seem to help them unlock?

Offline Achievements no longer tracking. PLEASE HELP.

No. My work schedule is usually a 4 twelve hour days on / 4 days off. So after the last day it gets connected for 96+ hours until the next shift. Nothing unlocks in that period.

  9. Thanks for the details,

What are some examples of recent Achievements you've completed, but don't currently see unlocked on your profile on the Xbox console or on Xbox.com?

    A few examples?

A full playthrough of Murdered: Soul Suspect. Awakening (Prolouge) and Gears Turn for MGSV along with a few various achievments. Hack a Turret, Hack a Vending Machine, Unlock a Tonic Slot, and many more in Bioshock. A few achievements for Mirrors Edge
Catalyst like "Deliever 10 packages" and others. Completeing Episode 1, 2, 3, 4 in Resident Evil Revelations 2. Completeing the tutorial (Which you have to do to play Chris's campaign, which I have an achievement for) and Jake Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in Resident
Evil 6. A crap ton in Van Helsing: Deathtrap, like getting 2 stars on a campaign mission, selling traps, building 250 types of certain traps, Killing 50,000 and then 100,000 monsters. I have the "Earn 1,000,000g" achievement in Stardew Valley, but not the
15,000g or the 50,000g achievements, and I have the "First 24 different types of fish" but not that 10 different types of fish achievement, along with various relationship, community center or help wanted achievements.

The entire campaign of Resident Evil 5 and Titanfall 2 (Which I now have, but take a look at them). When I went back online, nothing unlocked for a few days so I decided to replay the entire thing while at home. Since the save data was still where I was
in the game, if you notice I unlock the "Beat the game on Veteran / Master Difficulty" for those two games immediately after beating the first chapter or the tutorial, then had to continue to unlock the rest as I progressed.

    So there's a "few" examples.

I've already tried multiple profiles and multiple Xbox systems, which doesn't work. I've asked two friends from other states to try getting an easy achievement while offline on their own systems and profiles, unplugging their system before connecting to
Xbox Live, and they too never got the achievement, and that was about a week ago. So if they can replicate it, I'm sure you can.

  11. We're taking a closer look, but I want to clarify on one thing and check something else. How are you putting the console into offline mode exactly?

Then please run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console where you typically connect to Xbox Live and provide the following information
    if you don't mind.

    • Download Speed
    • Upload Speed
    • Latency
    • Packet Loss %
    • Wireless Strength (if applicable)
    • Modem Manufacturer
    • Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number

That will tell us if there is any potential network issues or if there could be an issue with the network hardware.

I've done multiple things. As I said this has been happening since the spring 2016 update. I've tried all sorts of things and it doesn't work...

-Simply turning it off and then unplugging.

-Holding the Guide button and turning it off that way and then unplugging.

-Turning it off from the settings menu and then unplugging.

-Switching to Offline mode and then trying all of the above.

-Forgetting Wireless Network and then trying all of the above.

    • Download Speed = 112.01 mbs
    • Upload Speed = 5.67 mbs
    • Latency= 72ms
    • Packet Loss = %0
    • Wireless Strength = 100%
    • Modem Manufacturer = Cisco / Model DPC3939
I've been on other networks in the past, like a hotels wifi, or a friends when I bring it over, but it's always the same result. I can play a game while offline, get online and get some achievements, but only if I don't unplug my system before I reconnect.

In fact, yesterday I managed to get two achievements I got while offline, simply because I had my system plugged into a power strip that had a battery backup built in. Turned it off, and transfered it back to the house, plugged in the power strip the Xbox
was still connected to (Which was still keeping the system "powered" even though the Xbox was turned off) reconnected to Xbox Live as I usually do, and within seconds the two achievements popped. The only difference was I didn't remove the power supply.

  13. Offline Achievements no longer tracking. PLEASE HELP.

Thanks for the details, it sounds like they are popping, but just taking more time than normal to do so and in different scenarios. As I mentioned, we're still looking into it, but due to the nature of the beast and having to wait 72 hours to fully reproduce
the issue, it may take a bit of time. I'll be sure to come back and update you on this thread and see what we find out. In the meantime, it looks like you're using wireless to connect. For the purpose of troubleshooting this, can you try a wired connection
for us, just to see if it has any effect? Please make sure to fill out the survey for any Achievements that have this issue as well when you get the time (after the 72 hours have past).

    Thanks!

Not sure where it sounds like they are popping. This whole thread I have been saying they haven't been, no matter how much time has passed. The only scenario that they do pop is when I transfered the system with a supplemented power supply. Anyway, I've
already tried Wired connection (There was a seperate issue I discovered with that, but has since been fixed since the last major console update). For about two months I used to only get online via wired connection, but no there was no effect. As for the
survey... I don't care about unlocking anything I should technically already have, because I can always go back and unlock them myself. I just want to be able TO unlock them.

Alright, well I'm at a complete loss.

I guess I was wrong about cutting the power. The only success I had posted about was done while in my own home. I had the system hooked up to a BackUPS, a battery back up power strip, and when I moved it from one end of the house to the other after turning
it off, it worked, but this past 4 days I did the same thing, but when I got home, no achievements unlocked.

This time I duct taped the Power Cord into the BackUPS strip, cut a hole in the gaming briefcase to keep the console plugged in. I also changed the power setting to Instant On, so I can put it into a standby mode, instead of completely off. At my house
I turned off the BackUPS (So it wouldnt use energy on the way TO work), and when I go to work I plugged it in and turned it on. System turned on as normal. Played some games throughout. When my shift was over, I put the system into standby mode (turned
it off while it was set to Instant On), and unplugged it. The BackUPS instantly supplied power to the system and lasted until I arrived home. I plugged it in, turned the system on, which loaded right back to where I was at in mid game... and there have yet
to be any achievements to unlock. So... to reiterate- the power was never cut from the system, and yet I still didn't unlock any offline achievements.

I'll give it the next 4 days, but... I guess I was wrong about removing the power from the system. I literally have no idea at this point. I suppose in 4 days when I go back to work I'll try keeping the system ON at the dashboard while I go to work, never
turning it off while at work, and keeping the system ON at the dashboard on the way back from work.

So... TLOffline Achievements no longer tracking. PLEASE HELP. :DR version=

At my house- Played game offline. Transfered to the other end of house, while it was powered by a battery backup. Go online. Achievements unlock.

Going from my house to work back to my house- Played game offline. Transfered to home from work, while it was powered by a battery backup. Go online. No Achievements unlock.

    I'm lost at this point.
