    Hi,

    Can someone please help... I am slowly losing the will to live here.

    I bought my daughter the official XBox Stereo Headset to use with her new XBox One (Xmas) in order to capture her gameplay while adding comments... what can I say, she likes the gaming Youtubers ;-)

    The headphones work fine but I have never managed to record any voice, nor do I hear my own voice when Capturing video. I have double and triple-checked all the audio and microphone settings, have updated the controllers (both of them) and have even tried
    with another headset... Never any voice!!!

    However, when I do a Skype test call I can hear my voice was recorded... argh!!!

    I am starting to lose my marbles over this and nowhere can I seem to find an answer or solution.

    Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

    Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset Microphone Stops Working

    Hello,

    This summer we have had 3 Microsoft Xbox One chat headset microphones stop working and 1 Microsoft Xbox One Stereo headset microphone stop working.

    I have tried multiple Xbox One controllers and separate Xbox One console to verify the microphone no longer works.

    Is there some known issue of how these headsets need to be plugged in or unplugged from the controller that could be zapping the microphone? Do we have to have the controller turned on or off before inserting the plug into the controller?

    This just seems ridiculous that we keep loosing the microphone capability of these headsets.

    Summer Update Headset Audio Crackling

    Got a new update yesterday that made it better more for the official Xbox Stereo headset. A little better for my cloud II's. Not perfect yet but seems they are working on it.

    Recommendation needed for Xbox One X headphones

    I would recommend the official Xbox brand stereo headset as it claims to be compatible with all xbox one wireless controllers:

    It probably doesn't need the stereo headset adapter - but if you're going to buy this headset, better just buy the stereo headset adapter to get your other headsets, that you already own, to work properly

    How to record audio with Xbox Stereo Headset microphone with Windows 10

    This sort of works. But it only works if:

    1. When I plug my Xbox headset into the microphone port on the back of my motherboard, which prompts a Realtek popup in the lower-right hand of the screen which prompts me to select what I plugged in: headphones, microphone, or line-in. I select "Microphone".

    2. I specify the Host in Audacity as MME.

    Then I can record audio into Audacity. However, I can't listen through my Xbox headset because it's plugged into the microphone port and assigned as a microphone, not as an output device like a headphone.

    So I still need to know how to use this Xbox Stereo headset to record Audacity and listen to my audio simultaneously.
