Official Xbox One TV Tuner not finding any HD channels.. Help!..

I Purchased the Official Xbox One TV Tuner and when i did a scan, no HD channels came through.

Im in Northern Ireland, BT63 postcode. When I do a scan, I get two providers to choose from, Freeview and Freeview National Lineup

Neither give me any HD channels. I know I can get HD channels, and I do get HD channels with the same aerial on my Humax YouView box.

So why is the Xbox tuner not finding them? Im at a loss, cant find any help about this online anywhere..

Freeview HD Channels disappeared

Using an official TV tuner I used to be able to receive Freeview HD channels until one day they suddenly disappeared and now the Xbox won't find any HD channels regardless of how many times I reset and scan for channels again.

Can anyone help with the issue please?

No option for SAP audio with Hauppage usb tuner + OneGuide for OTA broadcast??

I am using the Hauppage usb tuner to watch OTA broadcasts of local TV channels with the XBox One and OneGuide. There does not appear to be any settings to allow for a language preference when a channel broadcasts with a secondary audio source, and I havent
had any luck finding this addressed in the forums. Please help!

Not sure. I use the MS USB tuner and I do get HD.

The only issue I had was choosing Freeview vs national line up as I'd already plugged in a tuner via the HDMI port.

My solution there was to delete the old tuner, but it took ages to find it hidden in the menus.

Once I did that then I had to choose national line up otherwise the channel order was all over the place.

Hi PCF,

the tuner supports HD digital terrestrial and cable TV standards: DVB-T2, DVB-T and DVB-C - but only free-to-air channels.

Do you have a viewing card/smart card for your channels via Sat or Cable? The TV Tuner will not work if the channels are encrypted and require a smartcard to decrypt.

Having the same issue here. I use a TV Tuner with HD antenna. I’ve re-set it up twice. The system is finding the channels on setup but once i try launching Oneguide I get the same message “we’ve lost your channels...”

Yes, you can connect a Freeview HD box and control it via HDMI passthrough.

Yes, you can connect an aerial to the TV Tuner to receive the Freeview channels and control them with your voice. You can see more on that on our

The TV Tuner can only access unencrypted terrestrial and cable content, not encrypted or satellite signals. You should be able to connect your satellite or cable box to the HDMI connection and have it set up that way.

I have just gotten a USB TV tuner but in one guide its just says no info available it will not show the now or next show info. I have reinstalled the tuner, gone through the settings a million times cleared every thing but still not luck. Can any
one help me please ?

Is this the official TV tuner that was released for the Xbox or a third party one?
