Official Xbox One Stereo Headset

Does anyone have a set? If so, what do you think of them? I tend to do a lot of gaming at night these days, so I really need a pair of headphones.

One other thing, when watching a movie and using the headset, does the sound cut out when the pad turns off?

Help choosing headset

I use the Xbox One Official Stereo Headset. Great headset IMO.

 

I'm really pleased with mine. I had the PX21 headphones for the ps3/360 and I was just going to buy the joypad dongle, but when I figured out that the offical ones would be wire free (with the exception of the joypad connection) I thought they would be worth
punt (I had a tesco money off voucher too, so that swung it)

The sound is very good.

As above, the convenience of (almost) wire free audio is good.

The fact that you can mix in game audio without a mess of cables going into your av setup is just mega.

The build quality nice (look much better in the flesh than on the screen)

The comfort is OK. really big pads are comfy, but get a bit hot (and I've not used them in the current weather yet!)

As for cutting out when the joypad goes to sleep. No idea, but I would guess they would.

 

Thanks for the reply. I had a pair delivered today and I'm very pleased with them. They're very comfy, and the sound is very good, as you said. Definitely worth the price.

I use mine a lot they were one of the first accessories I bough, I'm very happy with them nice and loud in built mic boom and no cable from the headset to the console like in the old days 10/10!

 

Any good deals around on these at the moment? I've only had the Xbox One a short while so I need to look into getting a decent headset that I can hear game sounds through as well as chat.

 

Can't seem to find an edit option on my iPad, but the best price I've found for these is £50 at Amazon. Does that seem like a decent deal?

 

Sounds about right I payed that when I bought mine afew months ago, they are worth it in my opinion.

 

They are the same as all cheap headsets they brake easily at the chat connection cable. Mine broke within 9 weeks despite real care with it. Better waiting for top range wireless headsets that will last forever pretty much than wasting money on something
that WILL break. Sound quality if fine though but for the above reason im out

 

I've had mine since they were released and they havn't broke! Bear in mind that mine get abused by 3 kids too!!!

They don't feel cheap and the sound quality is great.

 

Do these connect straight into the controller or do they use the stereo adapter?

 

They use the adapter but its included in the box!!
