Official Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter with earforce dss 2

want to be able to use my headphones connected to earforce dss 2 and

Incoming chat only through speakers

In the April update, has there been added the ability to select incoming chat through speakers no matter what? I'd like to be able to use my PC style headset with my Earforce DSS, but currently (as far as I am aware) as soon as you plug your mic into the
stereo headset adapter, it brings all chat through the headset no matter what. Because of this, I can't hear anyone if I want to use my DSS.

 

HyperX Cloud headet --> DSS/DSS2 amp --> Xbox One S system and control chat audio?

I haven't been able to find a clear answer for this. I have not set up my new Xbox One S yet, and I am unfamiliar with the controller, as in I do not have one in hand. I have not owned a Xbox One original either (only a XB360 and XB), so I have never used
the headset stereo adapter. It seems that the DSS/DSS2 love has gone out the window and they are not even made anymore. I intend to use the optical to DSS for the audio. 1. To control chat volume in-game, I would need a MS stereo headset adapter correct? Would
the adapter make the audio control box that comes with the HyperxX Cloud unnecessary? If so, to hook up my DSS and control chat volume in-game, I just need to connect the mic from the HyperX to the stereo headset adapter, and the audio from the HyperX to the
DSS and be done with it? This controls chat colume with the control and audio volume with the DSS/DSS2? 2A. To control chat and audio volume close to the controller (chat on stereo headset apapter and audio on HyperX Cloud attachable audio control box), I
send the mic from the control box to the stereo headset adapter, and the audio from the control box to the DSS/DSS2 2B. Same as 1, except add a volume control cable inline and tie it up because of the extra length, between the audio control box and the 3.5mm
jack on the controller (NO headset adapter) Would these three options work?

 

If your headphones are anything like mine (Turtle Beach X12) then the Optical cables goes from the Xbox One into the DSS2 your headset plugs into the DSS2 then the talkback cable goes into the headset adapter. Now make sure you turn down the game volume
on the headset adapter as you want SS not Stereo. You should be ready to go after that.

 

my headphones are seinhesser so have no mic, so my problem is how i connect some kind of mic ?

 

I am not sure how easy it would be to attach a mic to something which has no mic. Sorry.

 

Yes, it would involve some home electronic fancy schmancy wiring type stuff, soldering irons and a few Burt fingers to get a mic working as well as an headset. You could probably build it from parts from Maplin, but it'd probably be easier to go buy a cheap
headset with mic included. I just bought myself a pair of standard Philips iphone compatible headphones and they're working with the adapter very nicely. I've also tried standard iPhone 5 headphones, but the mic audio sounded like a swarm of mosquitoes. I
wouldn't recommend it if you value your hearing.

 

Zico and ArtemisVex many thanks i had hoped that the latest update would allow all audio thru headphones thaen i could have had the shipped head set round my neck like i did on 360 but Microsoft havent included it not sure why they can't
