Official Game disc coming up as Unauthorized

So I was playing my Fifa 15 like normal and all of a sudden I get an error message saying Failed to authorize disc, I'm like "That's strange It's worked just fine up until now." The disc has a small chip in the middle ring but It works just fine for like
5 minutes then the message pops up and it reboots my console.

Any feedback would be much appreciated on what the heck I can do about this.

Xbox is unable to read game discs only

We can only really recommend an official repair through
our service site. Anything else is unauthorized and will void a future offer of official repair.

It sounds like you have an original model Xbox 360 console, but to verify, check out the illustrations on

Unauthorized Disc

A few things I would try:

1. Try another disc if you can. If this works, try getting your disc replaced.

2. Uninstall the game and try running it off disc alone.

3. If 2 works, try reinstalling the game.

Let us know if any of those work.

Sorry to hear it. The chip in the center could be causing the disc to move out of alignment causing to not be read.

Are you able to install the game to your hard drive (even with a borrowed copy)? If you can do this then you would only need to have the disc in the tray to play the game. It would be read straight from your hard drive.

if it doesn't come from microsoft or any official store it may be a scam. Did you notice unauthorized payments?

When you call, tell them you want to open an Unauthorized Access Investigation. Changing your WLID password would help as well.

There are a bunch of claims out there on what is going on, but nothing official, as much is speculation. Anything official regarding it will come from official channels.

You bought the console bundle.

The collectors edition is not a console bundle. That's a particular edition of the game that basically should have come with a disc to begin with as a collectors would want the disc.

Official console bundles always come with download codes for some reason. I personally think they should come with discs though because not everyone has a fast internet connection.
