Hi,

My son is now banned from audio participation from Xbox due to mistaken enforcement practices. He plays in the next room, so I can hear everything going on between he and his friends. An group of players came into their game and just started causing all
sorts of trouble from the beginning - just being disruptive and not playing the game. When my son and his friend complained, this group started calling them all sorts of derogatory names commonly used for Black people. My son told him they were using racist
language and they should get out of the game. They baited my son by asking him what they said. He responded " calling us names like [mod removed]." The other group quickly filled their chat line to exceed whatever history threshhold Microsoft uses to look
back and then reported my son and his friend as violating the offensive language policy. Microsoft was duped into penalizing responsible players and rewarding [mod removed].

The Microsoft Offensive Language policy and process is easily manipulated to reward offensive language.

Thanks for the reply.

I find that strange as last year i was supposed to have said something wrong and it took them 5 minutes to remove it and take action.

If you report a message, it can take some time for the report to be processed.

First of all, because of "trustability" of your report. Whenever you correctly report a violation, and the Enforcement Team acted on your correct report, your "trust rating" goes up.

Higher trusted reports move up faster in the report queue than reports with lower trust. So if you haven't reported often, or reported incorrectly, your report got "overtaken" by reports with higher trust.

But rest assured, your report is still being looked into.

Also, due to the Corona Pandemic going on, the Enforcement Team is understaffed and can't work efficiently in the office right now. So reports can be stuck even longer in the reporting queue.

Sorry to hear about the poor experience while gaming. If you haven't already done so, you can report the players through your console. If you're not sure how, you can follow the steps here:

Calling out players in the forums like that is considered Naming and Shaming, and not permitted in the forums.

Because you used offensive language in a message. That is why you got suspended. You deserved it for using the offensive language. As boozyhead has said post in the suspension forums
