Offensive Gamertag

Hello So my name is Braethan Dyck and i had the Gamer tag [Moderator removed]. it had been reset to and I don't like that at all. I have no money and i feel it was unnecessary for my name to be changed after all my name is Braethan Dyck.
please take into consideration I have no money at all and I would like a name change thanks

Why would someone harrass you over your gamertag?

Forced gamertag change will only happen if your gamertag is offensive. Your gamertag is not offensive so..

 

Gamertag reading as inappropiate language.

There's nothing offensive about this gamertag. FxKuZ. Effects-CuZ? How does this gamertag sound offensive to you?

 

Also I had no intention of changing my name

 

While that might be your name it also sounds like a slang term for a sexual act.

You can try telling the Enforcement Team your story
forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx but I doubt you are going to get your old gamertag back.

 

Your tag was offensive, you are lucky to just get a change and not get a ban as well.

 

Like the others have said, it's unfortunate, but your tag did seem really quite offensive, especially when we don't know the background to it.

I also don't think it matters if you personally don't find it offensive, if it offends someone on Xbox Live then that's all that matters to the enforcement team to investigate I believe. Whether they agree or not, I guess that's theirs or the enforcement
ambassadors discursion.

 

Well, unless your middle initial is "S" then what you used as a tag wasn't just your name and implied something. If your middle initial is "S", then I'd say you have a case (whether MS would agree with me is another matter), but if it's not then you have
no ground to stand on.

 

I think THIS is a much bigger problem for you than the forced gamertag change.

As no one outside of that forum can give you an official reply I have locked this up.
