    i finaly had the time to go back and play all the campaigns on mcc and decided I wanted to start with odst but to no avail. Im sure I played it in the time frame that was required but I do not remember if I ever received the code or not.

    Are you asking about the free ODST code that Microsoft sent out to those who purchased and played Halo: MCC back in late 2014?

    According to the
    FAQ     (on HaloWaypoint.com), you had to have logged in and played Halo: MCC anywhere between
    November 11, 2014 to December 19, 2014.

    I think they use your achievement record (probably when you unlocked, "Your Journey Begins") to determine eligibility. You might have a case for a free code if you have proof of purchase in the eligible time range (just my hunch), but there's no guarantees.

    It's probably not what you wanted to hear, but I hope this helps you in some way.
