When I change TV inputs, away from the Xbox One's input, my Kinect begins to almost power cycle itself. The white Xbox light and red light will turn off for a second then come back on for about 10 seconds then repeat. It will do this until I switch back
to the Xbox One input. During this time it will also not accept commands as I have tried to give it the "Xbox Turn Off" command and it doesn't work.

This seems like odd behavior and is very distracting when I am trying to watch something on another input. Also, turning my Xbox One off every time I want to switch inputs seems silly.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do to change the behavior?

    Thanks!

    :)

OK, so until recently I had my Xbox 1 connected to my Panasonic plasma smart tv. I just moved house and got a new 55 inch Samsung led. I have the plasma in the same room but it only has power connected to it right now. The xbox is hooked by hdmi into my
led. Tonight I used the voice command xbox on. The xbox started and at the same time the plasma turned on. Confused I tried the volume up and down commands and once again the volume changed on the plasma. I checked it and there is only a power plug connected.
It's a Panasonic p42s30 and I'm wondering if it's possible the voice commands are working over wifi to the tv, add this is the only thing I can think of that could explain why my Xbox seems to be able to control my unconnected tv.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what is going on and how I can get the xbox contingent the Samsung led that it is plugged into. I liked that the Panasonic used to switch on v at the same time as the xbox when I powered it on. Now its a little freaky.
I'd still like to have the same control over the new TV.

    Thanks

You have to reset the tv options on the Xbox to use with your new tv. The Kinect uses an IR blaster to control that stuff.
