    So i sent my series x in for repair because the alpha update bricked my console and I couldn't get it to factory reset or finish applying the update. Got the console back, exact same one factory reset.



    Here's the issue, if i run 4k 120 or 60 settings on the live os I either get no signal or a signal and flickering lines on screen. If i join back to alpha preview and run 4k 60 with Dolby Vision all my games run perfect. If i swap to 4k 120 in preview its no signal or flickering screen. so as long as i get Dolby vision to pop on my lg cx I have zero issues. whenever HDR is on instead of DV it shits the bed.



    I thought I would throw a post up see if anyone had/fixed this issue yet. I'll keep searching for answers but it looks like I'll be sending it in again. Yes I've swapped HDMI cables and ports on the tv and did multiple hard resets. factory resets.

    Disc Drive Issue - Hardware or Software Problem?

    This is the same issue I had with X Series X console. It's a hardware fault. You will need to get the console repaired or replaced under warranty.

    It won't even take the disc, so reading is NOT the issue.
    I had the exact same issue with my first Series X after 3 months of purchase. Mine was replaced on warranty. You should try to get a replacement or get it repaired on warranty if applicable.

    If the warranty has expired it will need repairing because the drive has failed.

    No worries, we still have one more troubleshooting step we can perform.

    if I may ask, may I know which type of Xbox console you own? Is it an original Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, or Xbox series console?
