Odd 360 behavior.....suspect it is the HDD?

    Hi,

iv recently been experiencing some strange happenings. First thing was that after downloading "charlie murder" it will not play, even after multiple re-downloads. it goes through the first few credit screens then goes back to DB. I just downloaded
"witcher 2" and this is playing extremely rough, i mean pixelated videos, music jumping/repeating and extremely long load times (if it loads at all). With both games i tried going into the storage device and i cant access it. I just sit at the screen with
    a big grey box.

Iv tried re downloading both on internet cable and wireless. nothing changes.

I tried the HDD into another console and it did all the same.

My console history is that its a original/classic with a 250gb harddrive (second hand) which was upgraded form original 60gb to 120gb and now the 250gb. It plays disks absolutely fine and some other downloaded games fine. In all honesty it only seems to
have been happening since i upgraded the hard drive few months back.

Am i right in thinking its time to just get a new slim 500gb and transfer it over? would this work? or could the problem move to the new console via the transfer?

    Any help would be brilliant!

    cheers!

    :)

    Odd kinect behavior

OK, so until recently I had my Xbox 1 connected to my Panasonic plasma smart tv. I just moved house and got a new 55 inch Samsung led. I have the plasma in the same room but it only has power connected to it right now. The xbox is hooked by hdmi into my
led. Tonight I used the voice command xbox on. The xbox started and at the same time the plasma turned on. Confused I tried the volume up and down commands and once again the volume changed on the plasma. I checked it and there is only a power plug connected.
It's a Panasonic p42s30 and I'm wondering if it's possible the voice commands are working over wifi to the tv, add this is the only thing I can think of that could explain why my Xbox seems to be able to control my unconnected tv.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what is going on and how I can get the xbox contingent the Samsung led that it is plugged into. I liked that the Panasonic used to switch on v at the same time as the xbox when I powered it on. Now its a little freaky.
I'd still like to have the same control over the new TV.

    Thanks

You have to reset the tv options on the Xbox to use with your new tv. The Kinect uses an IR blaster to control that stuff.

Yea, everything was perfect with the 120gb, just been with these games on this 250gb. That's what's making me sure it's the HDD (Being second hand also don't help) but could these things be because of a physical problem with the drive or connectors or something
    which wouldn't transfer over?

You might just need to reformat the hard drive to fix the issue. I remember way back when I was on my launch 360 and Oblivion started running very slowly. Clearing the cache didn't help so as a last resort I reformatted the drive on the 360. Wasn't a real
big deal back then since it was only a 20GB hard drive, but I would hate to have to go through that with all the content I now own.

Back up your data first on a USB drive (save files and games). You can also download any of your purchases again, but I am of the mind the less I have to repeat download, the better (but then I have a data cap too). Then format the drive, After this, download
or transfer your Live account to the console, then proceed to transfer or download your content to the fresh hard drive. If you didn't format it when you first got it after having bought it second-hand, I highly recommend trying this.

Hmmm to be fair I can't ever remember formatting it when I bought it. So maybe that's an issue that doesn't help. I shall try this and hopefully it will sort the problem. Thanks for your help all!
