Octopath Traveler Achievement Not Unlocking / Was Kicked Offline at time of Unlock

As per checking the Xbox Support site here's what was mentioned:

"After you complete achievements and challenges on your Xbox console, you can claim rewards and raise your gamerscore. To successfully unlock achievements and challenges, make sure that the following are true:

You’ve completed all the required elements to unlock the achievement.

Your console must be connected to the Xbox network. To complete challenges and unlock achievements, your Xbox console can’t be set to offline."

Also, it is stated as well that "If you completed the requirements to unlock the achievement on your console, but it doesn't show, it might not be synchronized with the Xbox network. Allow up to 72 hours for this synchronization to take place"

Just make sure that you're connected to Xbox Live when you completed the achievement.

My Act IV and V aren't unlocking. I've tried all sorts, even playing offline to get another achievement, then connecting back to live to see if it kick starts it. It unlocks the newer achievement but not the Act ones.

I've been playing offline and still unlocking achievements.

The only difference between unlocking achievements offline and online is that achievements unlocked when offline are not date stamped.

I had this problem a few years back, any achievements unlocked offline since you last were signed into live are lost when you redownload a gamertag as the old tag is deleted. However, there is nothing to stop you re-unlocking the achievements. I also found
that as my saves were all still there, a lot of achievements would unlock instantly or very quickly as long as the criteria was met. Any achievement that requires you to do something a set number of times should unlock the next time you do it eg. 100 kills,
win 20 games travel 100km etc. Some however will require you to redo the action that got the achievement or even restart the game -But at least it can still be unlocked again. Hope this helps, let me know if theres anything else you want to know.

It is a bit of a pain that you can't use the achievements app or unlock achievements while offline, but any achievements that you would have earned will unlock the next time you connect it to xbox live.

It is a strange decision and hopefully they'll fix it some time soon.

Who knows what would happen if you played offline for 6 months or so and then connected. Some achievements might just break and never unlock if it tries to verify and unlock too many all at the same time. Hell, it might even brick the console.
