October update

Just updated my X1..... see some minor changes to the home page (profile)..... what else is included in the Oct update?

Has the coil whine issue been fixed now?

There was a fix in the October system update which addressed this noise. A number of people have mentioned the October update solved it for them and it was out ~October 15th. Do you still get the noise after the update?

Seems it happens more for European consoles and those without Kinect attached.

Two factor authentication? The forums are not loading properly for me so I dont know who said that, but clearly they are trolling. Unless MS stealth released that feature, I have not seen it implemented on Xbox One at all ever.

You can also hide games/apps that are "ready to install"

 

Seems that the October Update broke my external hard drive. My Xbox one doesn't recognise it now, though it recognises other external drives when I plug 'em in. I really don't feel like reinstalling approx. 700GB of games, DLC and updates.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Some sort of hot fix would be greatly appreciated Microsoft, if this is even fixable...

 

I definitely don't like the new dashboard (home) layout.

It feels so off centered now, sets my OCD off lolol. I don't like how they removed the friends/my profile tab from the main screen too.

 

This update had multiple versions before it was released to the public during the preview. I think it's perfect now. I haven't had any problems as of yet. Hope everyone enjoys the new features.

Above, Sets your OCD off lol. Squint your eyes and look sideways maybe that will help j/k. I agree though it sets my OCD off too.

I think everyone on the internet is a troll (including me), with you being the only exception.
