October 2019 update broke the Kinect

Same issue with mine. Often doesn't power on with the console, if it does power on it turns off done time during usage sporadically and is only since the update but was working perfectly up to that point.

I've tried all types of reset, kinect, console etc. Unplugged and ran without the sensor for a day before reattempting.

It's definitely something caused by the update but I can't see what.

See my reply above, this is a Kinect issue, not about Cortana. The sensor no longer powers on when the Xbox One powers up, it used to and now it doesn't.

It's a result of the October update, so it needs to be fixed.

Correlation doesn't mean causation. It could just be a coincidence that your Kinect started malfunctioning after the October system update.

All I know is I have a Day One Xbox One (no Kinect adapter), and everything is still working for me after this update.

Well, Cortana is no more for Kinect. That feature was removed like around the previous update.

Hi,

Sorry about that issue, but i have a Kinect on my X and its working fine with "Xbox commands" in my case... So its not the update.

I suggest you to hard reset the usb adapter plug and Kinect. Also be carefull about the USB port used on the X its important to use the correct one.
