with the September update being released in late august, any word on October update yet or future updates such as spring 2015 or any other major updates? Just curious.

I would imagine we'll see another preview in the next couple of weeks. It's impossible to say for sure, but so far since the console's release, aside from 1 month they've released a new update every month, almost like the equivalent of Patch Tuesday for
the Xbox. Hopefully that will continue.

I suspect we'll see the new Friends tab and the screenshot feature soon.

 

The Xbox team doesnt release information about updates for the next month until a few days prior.

Someone at Microsoft messed up with releasing the September Update in August . There is always going to be Updates for as long as M keeps providing XBL service for Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. They even release Updates for Windows pretty much on a monthly bases.
They'll keep on providing Updates to fix any security vulnerabilities and to add in new features and according to what many would like from the official feedback site. I'm not in this "Preview Program". I prefer only having the officially publically released
Dashboard Version. With the Preview Program I've heard of peps having bugs with it. Officially publically released Dashboard versions for Xbox 1 have had no bugs because those versions a full proper versions not beta's. And it's a Microsoft product and we
all know they provide lots of Updates for their products, Xbox and Windows. We may see Updates which give the ability to change the Dash background and Voice Messages because there is a lot of demand for those Xbox Live Features to be brought back. And it's
the second day of Spring for Australia and NZ (September 2).

Agreed, they have given so many updates is fantastic. I really look forward to seeing everything they push forward, especially with the help of the feedback site. I just hope they add voice messages soon but I think this far in, its looking unlikely. Wouldn't
be a bad idea if they allowed you to use upload to send a message privately to a friend.
