Obtaining X-Box One Games through XBox Gold

After I signed up to the XBox Gold service, I was able to add Xbox One games to my account even though I cannot play them on my Xbox 360 - in order to build up my library of Xbox One games for if/when I replace my XBox 360 with an Xbox One in the future,
as per below:

"You can get two free Xbox One games every month through Games with Gold, directly from your Xbox 360 or on Xbox.com. Build your game library every month and have games waiting for you when you move to Xbox One."

However, for the past number of months, I have been unable to add any Xbox One games to my library: clicking on the link for either of the two Xbox One games produces no result - not even an error message.

Can anyone clarify if this feature is no longer available or if it is a problem specific to me - and if the latter, how I can fix it?

Thank you for the update. That's odd that it's still not letting you claim the games online or from your 360 console, even after updating your billing information. Did you move recently to another region or everything is the same for that?

Since you were able to do this before I'm not sure what is causing it to not work this time around. Is your active gold subscription tied to your update payment option or did you renew the subscription with a pre-paid card?

If you need further assistance I recommend contacting Xbox customer support in your region to look over your account with you and see if they notice the games on your account.

I have tried accessing it through the Games With Gold tile on the Xbox 360's main menu - that is how I have obtained these games in the past.

You were correct that my payment information required updating - but after doing so I still have the same result, which is nothing happens when I try to select the XBox One games.

Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums, I'd be happy to help. That feature has not been removed and you can still claim Xbox One games online or from your Xbox 360. However, you do need a valid credit card and billing address for you to claim the free games.

Games with Gold FAQ: "Please note that you must have a credit card to "purchase" the free games on Xbox.com. However, you won’t be charged for downloading a Games with Gold title during its free period on Xbox.com if you’re an Xbox Live Gold member."

Have you moved recently or made any changes to your payment options?

Do you get the same result when trying to claim the games directly from the Games with Gold tile on the dashboard of your Xbox 360 home menu?

Have you tried searching each game individually in the Store and downloading them that way?

I recommend going to account.microsoft.com and updating your billing information, even removing any old card information and re-adding any current ones you have on your billing profile.

Answer those questions and we'll be happy to further assist you with this issue.
