. every listed try out options to get it to work I've done.....Still no dice....Any utility or XBOX REMOTE HELP GARAGE tucked away in MICROSOFTS HQ to remedy this problem?????

External Hard Drive interfering with HDMI signal?

Hello

Have you tested if that WD External drive works properly on a PC? Is that a WD My Book or a WD Elements Desktop drive?

I would consider testing the drive's health with
WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic and see if the device is operating properly.

Are you using the same power outlet to power both the console and the External Drive? I would try using different power outlets.

i purchased a WD 4TB external drive for more storage....

Everything works great, it was detected with no problem. My only question is that the light on the drive stays on or blinks slowly. I totally understand the fast blinking when data is being copied but is the solid or slow blinking light when its not receiving data a normal thing.

Make sure you're using the dedicated power supply for your Nyko data bank.

I'm currently using a 4TB WD portable HD with my X as I don't have to plug it in to an external power source, and it works great.

In the support sections for Xbox there is mention of taking games you no longer use or use not so much and load them onto USB drives. In my limited hardware knowledge larger hard drives require advanced software for storing information on these 4 TB hard
drives. I do not know if there are any driver updates that will let your system see and use this "Advanced Hard Drive" I revert to using a WD- external drive connected to my router to store extra data on. Granted it is only an outdated 1TB drive but it is
the router that supports the external drive and is seen differently by my older Laptops. It is not seen as an external hard drive but as an media device and might be why my older devices can use it for storage where they cant use an external or internal 1TB
drive in the same way.

I share this to you as a possible work around. If you have a device that in fact can use the 4TB hard drive maybe your Xbox can than store information on that drive with granted access to it through the device that can see the 4TB Drive. Hope this helps.
