NXOE not installing properly

I looked around for a while before posting. After clicking to install the update yesterday the whole thing downloaded then it said "installation stopped" and when i looked in the que it said there was an error updating the bluray. i delevted the item in
my que, cleared persistant storage in bluray and tried redownloading the update. ever since then, once the update is done downloading and the system restarts, it goes back to the regular dashboard. i tried it again today... a few times... even deleting all
my game installs and removed my external TB drive. power cycled a few times as well before and after trying to download the update. please help

What happened to full kinect calibration/setup

Nope not just you. Same here. I guess the NXOE dash broke it as when you start it up the screen with the picture of the kinect sensor is not even framed properly.

Voice commands post NXOE

Did the NXOE update break kinect voice commands? Prior to the update I would say I had around 75% to 80% success rate with voice commands working correctly, post NXOE I'd say that success rate has dropped to 20% or less.

I've ran the calibration setup again post up date (which is most def broken, doesn't display properly) but this has not seen any noticeable difference in success rate.

Anyone else have trouble with voice commands post NXOE update?

now i just tried to reset to factory and now its telling me that the wireless network hardware isnt working. i dont even use the wireless! this is so frustrating. now i cant doanything.im sruck in the set up screen

Switch to Ps4, cause this guys at Xbox have cause the same crap to happen to me fives times now

whatever thanks for nothing xbox. at least i still had a warranty with gamestop. i just walked in with the reciept and the console and he swapped it with a new one. i gladly paid another 30$ for another year of coverage

I agree. The NXOE is riddled with bug defects and not much resolves it, even factory resets; all began with the NXOE update. There has bee MANY, MANY posts on the beta forums that identify the bugs and defects in the software system. Support does not look
in these areas when people complain about the bugs, they appear to rely on older fixes, which don't necessarily work with the new bug issues.

If the screen is dimming, WHEN did it start? If it started exactly when NXOE was installed, yes, MS needs to look in there, figure out if the Kinect software has anything to dim it, and why. If the Kinect is not operating exactly as it was before NXOE was
installed, look into the Kinect drivers and conflicts it has with the software and games. If the drivers conflict with the software, it won't operate right.

If the network card is not operating properly, where it was before NXOE was installed, the same procedure needs to be done. Look into driver conflicts with software.

I do think the software updates need to be beta tested at least a year before they are put into mass production. Kind of the disaster MS had with Windows 8. Not many people liked the operating system due to the issues it had.

How did you get it to go back to the original dash? If you update to NXOE and do a factory reset it still installs the NXOE build.
