Numerous questions about the One. Please help.

So, I've had my X Box One since launch day. I've had some problems I can't seem to fix. One is chat. For some reason a buddy I game online with and I can rarely get chat to work. This still isn't fixed? A lot of times we log on, I send him a chat invite
and he can't hear me but I can hear him through my surround sound speakers... not through my headphones. So we'll chat through Skype, which always works, so my headset is now damaged, and play that way. Anywhere from 5 minutes to an hourn later we'll try chat
again and it'll work. For a while. An hour or so, then he'll start breaking up and come through my speakers again. I have 6 meg internet, so plenty fast enough. I've heard something about NAT. Mine is set to 2... I heard open is the best?

Second thing is the Kinect recognition. It rarely recognizes me, and I have to screw with it for 5-10 minutes before it does. Sometimes it recognizes me as someone else who has a profile on it. Sometimes it even will recognize me as someone else while I'm
already playing a game and log me in as that person while I'm playing, forcing me to go to the dash and re-select the correct profile Any help with this?

Question about the dlc please help..

Check your pip boy, you should find them in the quest log & check the radio stations you sould pick up broadcasts thru your pip boy...

If it is the same account with the licenses, you should have no problems. If you want to play something, you need to have the license for it that shows you paid for it.

 

Chat is still of and on but haven't experienced what your experiencing. Sounds like the mic connection to controller could be faulty. As far as kinect recognition make sure to keep selecting " kinect not recognising me" and doing that when it makes a mistake.
It seems to get better the more you do this and use it. Mine was a bit sketchy at the start but now works everytime

 

I have two controllers and it does it with both, and also... if it was the mic connection it wouldn't work on Skype like it does.

 

chat is all messed up.... especially in BF4 as the squad chat feature screwed everything up... you cannot join a chat if you are NOT IN BF4... and if you leave the chat while in BF4.. you need to restart BF again.. then join the chat... tons of people
do forget to turn on the chat tho.. I have done that a few times

 

Do you have problems with chat like I do even when not in a game and just chatting in a party?

 

When the ONE launched I sometimes had problems getting party chat to work for all the party.



However recently it's worked fine and I regularly head into "Battlefield 4" with a full squadsworth of XBox LIVE Party Members, all of which are chatting.



You might want to try and get some support from XBox Tech Support.

It may be to do with settings for your internet or other stuff that's causing the problem.

 

I didn't think Skype used the chat mic? I thought it defaults to the kinect mic. Am I wrong?
