    Simple issue, I was given a free gamertag change, as everyone did.

    I should have read it more carefully as I expected it to work like Battle.net or discord account and didn't expect to see some damn numbers after my name in games.

    I would like to know if there is a way to reverse to my previous gamertag as I don't want to fork out 10 quid for something this stupid.

    Which require me to spend 10 bucks for it, an absurd amount IMO for my issue.

    From what I understand, there is no way to reverse it. You basically just have to change your name again and hopefully find one that doesn't have a duplicate out there which will give you the numbers.

    This is the new gamertag system - if you change it again you'll be given to choose both a "new" gamertag (with the numbers) and an "old" gamertag (without the numbers, and this is what will be displayed in just about everything that uses Xbox Live).

    The double gamertag is by design, as they transition over to the new gamertag system. Not all games will display the new gamertag system and as stated, your old gamertag will be displayed on 360 backwards compatible games. Any gamertag you create yourself,
    is a custom gamertag.
