NTFS formatted hard drive with USB 3.0 not working with Xbox One X for Capturing Gameplay...

I formatted the USB to NTFS and it shows on my MacBook Pro that is formatted to NTFS but when I plug it into the Xbox One I keep getting this message below...

"First, format this device on your PC.

To Capture game clips and screenshots externally, storage must be formatted as NTFS. Connect it to your PC and format it, then reconnect it to your Xbox. (0x80bd003c)

I look around and can't find any solution if you have a MacBook Pro. Would appreciate some help. Thanks Y'all...

Trying to download PC game to external hard drive

The drive needs to be formatted with NTFS file system

But a question, how is the hard drive connected? USB 3.0 or USB-C?

USB 3 looks like normal usb and often has blue inside the connector. C is a small connector

If it is USB 3.0 it won’t work, the drive connection is too slow to play the game

To format the hard drive go to Disk management, right click on the drive, choose format, and then select ntfs from the drop-down and hit quick format.

Please be aware this will erase the existing contents of the drive

NTFS formatted hard drive with usb 3.0 not working with Xbox One S for capturing gameplay

so i just noticed when its plugged into the xbox, its name on the xbox is EFI. Which makes me think that the partion is an issue. However, since the partition is needed (also i don't have the option to delete it. "delete" is just greyed out), idk what to do. The efi partition small, and the xbox recognizes the ntfs formatted space of 3.6TB. the majority of the hard drive is ntfs, but i dont think i can make it all ntfs. Also, the xbox can read it just fine. so i downloaded media player on my xbox and i can watch everything just fine. I just can't add more videos for some reason.

    External hard drive

remember that your hard drive must be in NTF format (you can format it on a pc and put that format) is the only format compatible with xbox, just as it must be usb 3.0 have at least 250 gb

Xbox One S Record Gameplay Micro Sd Card

Hi Ameerh1! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

The USB device needs to be a USB 3.0, NTFS-formatted to work for captures, i don't believe a MicroSd with a USB adapter can reach USB 3.0 speed

xbox one recognizes drive, won't let me format for extra storage

Just to be sure... does your hard drive use USB 3.0? If it's a USB 2.x hard drive, the Xbox One won't be able to format it for use with games/apps.
