Xbox 360 was recognizing Hard Drive, now it isnt showing up?

No I was transferring the data using a computer. The Hard Drive DOES NOT show up in the storage setting on the xbox itself (basically it isnt recognized a hard drive is plugged in) but when I plug it into the computer via the transfer cable, it shows up
    as an NTFS hard drive.

    Xbox system error

    Hi!

When formatting the USB flash, does it give you the possibility to choose NTFS (when choosing the File System)?

However you can convert the file system via command. Open the command prompt (as Administrator) and use the "convert (drive letter): / FS: NTFS" command (example convert X: / FS: NTFS).

Yes, every other Hard Drive I plug into my Xbox shows up. The one that doesnt show up, when I plug it into my computer it says its file system is 'NTFS'?

    Formatting Samsung T7 SSD

So, I know how to format drives on a PC but the T7 wasn't showing up on the PC til I found a 3.1 gen 1 port on the back of the PC case. I formatted it to NTFS then plugged it back into the series X. But, in Capture Location, still only "Internal" was available.

I searched external drive not showing on series X, it said to pull the usb cable then reinstall it then hold the X for 10 seconds then restart the console. I held the big X on the controller, it restarted on its own? I entered the console menu, it now says T7 in capture settings, duration, resolution and more/capture location, but there's no choice between using Internal or External storage just the T7.

    External drive not detected

    Hi Jacob,

Yes it will still show as it is formatted as NTFS. IF it doesn't show you may want to reformat the hard drive.

    Thanks,

    Brad
