NowTV and Disney Plus apps work in one location and not the other.

Hello, I have an Xbox Series X. It works perfectly at my home - all of the apps play everything seems fine. It's connected via WIFI to a Virgin Media Account.

When I go home to visit my parents both NowTv and Disney Plus don't play videos. Both allow me to browse, but as soon as a video is chosen they both crash and give error codes. They work however on my phone and laptop.

I've deleted both apps, reset Xbox, power cycled it too. Am completely stuck - any ideas?

Am I able to do this via the router settings or do I have to go to the Network?

Xbox is currently connecting to 3074 - both apps load up and let you browse but as soon as you press play they crash.

Seems to me it is an issue with router/network at your parents place. I'll suggest you reach out to the network provider and ask them to open these ports for you.

Usually, there is a list of ports that is used by Xbox Live, which is this:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

Your internet provider would advice you better about Port forwarding and can even do it for you.

Try to connect using your phone's hotspot or a different network while you're there is that doesn't work.

I'm having the same issue on my xbox series s this morning. All the main streaming apps do not work ie Disney plus, Apple TV, NowTV etc

Nope, didn't work. I have a feeling there must be something up with disney right now since every other app allows me to preview their install page except disney plus.
