Now TV app update (01/03/2017) disables multimedia remote buttons

Hello,

I updated the Now TV app on my Xbox and it has disabled the use of the play/pause, stop and forward/rewind buttons on my multimedia remote. I know this is only a small thing but not being able to use the buttons is a bit annoying. Any chance this can be
patched in another update?

What happened to remote feature?

It looks like they removed this feature from the Xbox App unfortunately. Removed Features

Sorry to hear about the issues with the app and your media remote. To clarify, is this an official Xbox One Media Remote or another device? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the app yet? Does the remote work with other devices?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes this is the official Xbox One Media Remote.

It works fine with other apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Bluray player.

I have not unistalled and reinstalled the Now TV app so will do this today and post the results.

I just tried to install the app on a console here next to me and it seemed to work okay for me for navigation and for the in video controls.

Let us know how it goes for you!

Odd, yet the controller is still working with other apps correct? Are you in the Xbox One insider program and using the new dashboard?

forums so the Insider teams will be aware of the issue and reach out to Now TV so they can investigate as well.
