of new gameplay from Quantum Break. It seems very Alan Wake-ish, but at around the 12 minute mark the platforming sections look pretty dope.

I'm super excited for this game.

16 minutes of new Quantum Break gameplay and it looks really awesome. Starting at the 12 minute mark the graphics are pretty sick.

Back to the ram issue.Is either console next gen? In 6 months any PC from Walmart will have better specs.The 360 is last gen so the PS4 and One have now just barely caught up with current gen.Im still waiting for a next gen announcement.

 

Looks amazing. But I really hope it stays this way. I've seen a lot of gameplay trailers (Watch_Dogs for example).. where the game looks amazing and when it's released it's mediocre at best.

 

Well, it says right off the bat it's 100% gameplay footage shot on an Xbox One, so here is hoping!

 

My only gripe is the character movement looks a little weird. Other than that I think the graphics look sick.

 

It looks okay, I'm waiting for more news, gameplay. It DOES reminds me of alan wake a lot. Maybe it's just the atmosphere?

 

To me that trailer (although an extended E3 trailer) makes it look style over substance, cinematically it looks amazing, however it looks linear and slow moving, you have to go one way, and do it one way, so the idea of using time isn't next gen its predetermined.
Also I think combat will get boring quick, get in a fire fight hold time kick but, hold time kick butt, don't use a gun no point I can hold time and kick butt.

If the images are truly next gen, everytime you watch the bridge crash it will look different, if its the same every time, its not IMO next gen.

While some parts are the same section of the game, it's clearly a different playthrough. Watch how items fall differently amongst other things.

I just wanted to point that out.

 

I think the overall package just screams "next gen" or at least closer than most of the stuff we have now. I love the games I have (Destiny, PvZ, Outlast, etc) but none of those excite me like Quantum Break. The gameplay clip above is super old (still not
sure why media outlets are posting it) but I'm sure there's tons we haven't seen yet. Alan Wake was a great game so I'm not having any doubts about this one.

 

@Brand all 8.33 of the new trailer (in the OP) is exactly the same footage from the old trailer (yes sorry it was gamescom not E3), they could have shown a different way to tackle the exo suits on the bridge.

While I don't doubt the small things the player will come in contact with will move differently, I do think they will be programmed to be the same thing in the same place when you come in to that area, when things happen everything will be in the same place
and move predictably.

Thats one reason I don't think Destiny is next gen, the AI is to predicable and massively limited, I mean why do the AI run away from you when you step 2 paces back(I know why your no longer in there area, but why). And the graphics are to static.

 

That's the thing. They are different although the section is the same. I just watched them side by side.

I have to agree though that AI should be much smarter this gen. There really isn't any excuses for it not to be good.

 

I guess we will have to wait and see, but after watching them both side by side, the newer one looks much more polished and has come a long way, but if you look at when the truck falls of the bridge before you get on the bridge, everything is exactly the
same, they could have scripted the truck to have a different anlge, different debris coming off etc, but its the same video over and over.

Like the battle at the end of the bridge its clear, the developers want you to use the car to kill the baddies, they have end made it so if you miss you can keep trying, 1 way through....

Look forward to your thoughts when its out though, be interested to know if you views are still the same.

 

My only concern is that the game will be too easy.

 

Definitely looking forward to this game now. I just got around to beating Alan Wake the other day and loved it!! Quantum Break seems similar in a lot of ways so hopefully it'll be just as good if not better than Alan Wake. Can't wait!!
