Notifications Not Working

Hi, I have been having this problem recently where after an update not too long I am no longer receiving any notifications from my xbox app for windows 10. When someone invites me to a party I do not receive it where I used to get a popup on my screen asking
if I wanted to accept the invite. This holds true for any and all banner notifications, they simply do not appear on my desktop anymore for some reason. I have tried going into the settings of the app, but it says notifications are enabled and my windows settings
say the same thing. Any help with this would be appreciated as I have no way to talk with people who are not my friends on xbox because I am not receiving invites anymore. Thank you.

So after the April update I went into settings and changed notifications to all friends but I dont get notifications saying people are online/what they are playing etc. I have tried adding people to faves still nothing. Also tried hard reboot, removing power
cable, power block, mains plug all that and nothing.
