Notifications not showing!!!

Hey everyone so I have a problem that I'm sure can be fixed fairly simply (On the xbox one by the way). Essentially, whenever someone sends me a message, a party or game invite or anything like that, it doesn't show up. I'm relying on my xbox app on my phone
to tell me when I get a message now, but anyways. A couple days ago I turned off notifications while watching a movie, and after I turned them back on, no notifications were popping up on my screen. I would get a message from someone and my phone would tell
me I got a message from whoever sent it, but nothing would happen on my xbox. If someone sends me a game invite or anything like that then it wouldn't pop up. I'm not recieving any game or party invites and it's a little annoying. I've gone into settings and
made sure literally EVERYTHING that's supposed to be is on and activated and whatnot, but still nothing. I don't know what's wrong with the xbox, but that's my situation. If anyone could help I would immensly appreciate it.

I noticed that when a favorite comes online it doesn't show a notification nor it shows an invite for a game like COD AW and COD BO3.

Hi, with the Xbox powered on press and hold the power button on the Xbox for 10 seconds, the Xbox will power off, disconnect the power supply from the mains power for a minute or two, reconnect the power supply to the mains power outlet and power the Xbox
on again using the power button on the Xbox and give things a try.

 

Ok I'm sorry but if I knew how to delete my thread I would, but I didn't mean to post this here. I meant to post it on xbox one support, so if you could visit that thread I have there instead, I'd greatly appreciate it (I'm very new to xbox forums).
