Notification Sounds Not Working on Xbox One

Hey there folks. I do not know if I am in the right section for this. If I am not, please let me know. If I am, continue reading.

Recently within the last few days, whenever I get a notification pop up, whether it be party, people getting online, any sort of pop up notification, it pops up, but it makes absolutely no sound. I know that my sound is working just fine with my Xbox because
I move around the dashboard and I can hear the sounds that my Xbox makes when I move around.

I do not know what the problem could be. I have tried multiple things, hard resetting my console, resetting my modem and router, those are just a couple of the things I have tried. But, to no avail does it work at all. If anyone can assist with this, that
would be great. Please and thank you so much. I do not know how much longer I can go without having my notification sounds. Lol. I look forward to hearing possible solutions and seeing results.

Notification Sound Not Working Anymore

Nothing too serious, but was just curious if anyone else had this problem where the achievement notification, welcome notification when I get signed in, the clip being recorded notification, and or all of the other notifications are no longer doing the good
ole Xbox chime when they are supposed to. The notifications are working and popping up when they are supposed to, but they just are not making the sound they used to anymore. Everything else with the console is working just fine and I really think that Xbox
One is awesome. Just was unsure on how to bring that sound back for notifications haha. Thanks!!

 

Notification problem

No message notifications since last update (22-dec-2016)

Sounds for notifications have not worked since past 3-5 updates

Have removed app, restarted phone, reinstalled, restarted phone, launched app. Yes all settings for notifications / sound / etc are on and have been toggled off, restarted, toggled on, restarted.

UPDATE: Notifications working now, but still no sound when phone locked or in another app. Sound only plays when in xbox app but not while messaging portion of app is displayed.

We have a guide that can assist you with some solutions to
troubleshoot sound on your Xbox One console - can you run through those for us & let us know if you see any difference?

 

Sadly quasar, that does not do me any good. None of those resolutions apply to me.

 

I have this problem as well, but includes no sound from left pop up menu...no sound from scrolling or selecting on menu that shows friends list, messages, multiplayer, etc..

All other sounds work just fine...it happened a couple of months ago but seemed to resolve on its own somehow...now once again there is no sound...all trouble shooting is useless in this matter..

Same here. In-game sounds are perfectly OK, but all menu sounds and pop up notifications are mute.

I had the same problem. I just did a hard reset and everything is good for me now. I couldn't figure it out and so i just decided to do a hard reset and the notification sound is back on!
