Notification of purchases by a young person who is no longer a family member

If you are the one who originally added a young family member to your Microsoft Xbox account and are now trying to remove them, but are receiving an error message, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Make sure that you are signed in with the correct Microsoft account that was used to add the family member.

Check that the family member's account is not set as the primary account on the Xbox console. The primary account holder is the only one who can remove family members.

If you are part of the Family Plan then only the person who has the main account can transfer points to another member. You can do this by following the instructions at the link.

That’s correct, the Family Gold offer is no longer available for purchase. The Family Center experience with settings management, allowance granting, child activity reports & family subscriptions management are still available for current Family Gold members
at this time.

Thanks for coming to the forums. When you purchased the console was it from a retailer? Or was the purchase from a friend or family member? If from a friend or family member that game most likely belonged to who owned the console.

The Family Pack is no longer available. As such, you are no longer able to give allowances to your family members.
