Notice to all xbox one users needing service:

Going to keep this brief, but I wanted to share my experience with XBOXSupport regarding the Xbox One console. I purchased my system Day One, and experienced my first issue in may of 2014, I sent the system in for repair and got a refurbished console back
in June. In September 2014 my Disk drive made a sound like it was rubbing the disks against something as they were spinning. Not wanting to have all my disk ruined I again send the console In for repair. This time it took roughly 6 weeks to get back, I
go to the website to re-register the new serial number and notice my warranty state it was to expire 11/21/2014.

I contact XBOX support via chat and was assured this was a mistake and they would issue a new 1 year warranty. Fast forward 4 months and my console, once again, will not read disks - I go to set up a repair and find my warranty still states it expired on
11/21/2014. I call support and they tell me that people on the chat line don't have authorization to extend warranties and their policy regarding the X1 console is 3 months from the time of the repair.

I am told my best option is to pay $115 for the repair + shipping, and that would get me a repair and a new 3 MO th watranty. My X1 console has not lasted more than 6 months consecutively so I am not going to pay for a repair and have it break again in.
I am shocked that their status on warranty has changed so dramatically from the 360.

I have been a XBL Gold subscriber for nearly 11 years and that is ending on 4/15. I have achievements in 291 games between the 360 and x1 - but MSoft won't get another penny from me.

How was said above Xbox Live Services are down and affecting login. But some users said that worked one workaround. If you dont want to wait, the workaround is removing your account from your console and re add it again. But notice that this workaround worked
with some other users but doesnt mean that will work with all.

Hi there, really unfortunate to hear of the luck you've had, I personally have not had to send my Xbox One off for repair and got it day one so it's a shame to see others not have the same experience.

There's obviously not much I can say to help the situation other than maybe contacting phone support one last time to explain the situation, I've had some pretty frustrated calls with them in the past and they've always done everything to keep me satisfied.
