    I was recently playing a game of call of duty 4 remastered online and I was sniping and dominating the other team. After the game some kid messaged me calling me a "camping ****" and then about 2 minutes later I got a Notice of enforcement action from xbox
    live. It was obviously this kid reporting me just because he was upset about being beaten and killed so many times. I did an online chat with the support team but they said I could not file a case review because a ban had not been taken place yet. He suggested
    I make a forum post, so here I am. Just letting people know this apparently can happen. I've been an xbox live member for 8 years and haven't received any such notice of enforcement or ban, so I don't know why this happens now after one kid complains. Alright

    How is it you can get suspended after an exchange that you didn't even start! What happened to the trash talk?!?! I don't think you should be able to get someone banned once it becomes a back and forth. At that point
    he knew what he was doing and we agreed to exchange insults.

    I agree that people should understand going in what exactly they are agreeing to, and what will be expected of them.

    and now they won't let me edit my post. I think when you message someone there should not be a report button at all. You agreed to talk to them when you sent them a message. If you don't like what they have to say after that.... BLOCK THEM. It's like not
    liking what is on tv so you call the cable company and tell them to change it. Instead of changing it yourself!

    Enforcement doesn't use these forums, the only way to speak with the Enforcement team is through a
    Case Review. It's highly unlikely that a suspension was given due to "Camping", however if there was inappropriate messages sent back and forth this could be actionable
    since it would be considered against the Code of Conduct. It's best to just report messages like that and not respond in the future to avoid any potential suspension. Here's
    some more information about the enforcement teams and how the suspensions work.

    I fond the beat way to deal with these is as soon as someone insults you or uses inappropriate language report block and delete straight away.

    If you get into arguements and use profanity you will also get enforcement action.

    Why do bullies always get away with their abuses ?

    Report & block anyone harassing you online via your console.

    They will be dealt with.

    If you respond in a way that violates the ToU/CoC then you risk enforcement action no matter who started it.

    It only takes one valid report for someone to receive enforcement action if the break the rules.

    Mass reporting someone will achieve nothing,in fact,anyone abusing the reporting feature risks enforcement action themselves.

    Other than a thank you message that the enforcement team rarely send out you will never be told the results of any report you file.

    Anyone who abuses the reporting feature risks enforcement action themselves.

    As long as you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about.

    The only way to report someone is via your console.You should also block this person as well.

    A report via your console is the only way the enforcement team will investigate someone.
