Discus and support Nothing Works About the XBOX App in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; there was a problem on the xbox app which I couldn't download a game, it was stuck on my downloads and I couldn't even stop the download for hours....     Nothing Works About the XBOX App


    there was a problem on the xbox app which I couldn't download a game, it was stuck on my downloads and I couldn't even stop the download for hours.



    then I tried to fix and restore the xbox app, it did not work. I removed the app and installed it again via the website. after that, the xbox app did not even launch, it was stuck on the xbox logo. so I uninstalled it again, even uninstalling was hard this time.



    after all those, now I cannot download anything from the microsoft store including the xbox app, the xbox app installer shuts down with no errors when I start installing it. so I'm stuck in every possible way.

    Things I tried:

    • Fixing, restoring the app
    • Uninstalling, reinstalling (yeah cannot even install it now)
    • Some powershell commands I don't know about, some people posted it
    • Restarting my pc.

    We appreciate you have listed the things you have tried for fixing this issue. Although your troubleshooting is greatly related to the Xbox app, we may need to make sure that it is not just your Xbox app that will be fix and updated. It will be all related apps like Microsoft Store and your system. To have a better understanding, we would like to further isolate your concern.

    1. Is this issue happening to all games and apps installed from Microsoft Store?
    2. May we ask if you have error message or code when the download get stuck?
    3. Are there antivirus, antimalware, VPN, firewall, proxy and PC Optimizer installed in your PC?
    4. When did this issue happen?

    Hi Erol! Sorry to hear about what happened. Let's see what we can do about this matter.

    What steps have you tried so far?

    Have you already tried to reinstall the Gaming Services app?

    Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:
    Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

    In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
    Restart your device and try to install the game again.

    Don't forget to check for Windows updates and get all available updates from the Microsoft Store
