Nothing will download on PC

Whenever I try and download something on the xbox app on the PC, it says Preparing and than says error and the error code is 0x00000001 and I have restarted the PC at lease 10 times and it still wont work, I have done everything it says to do but it wont work. Can someone help?

Thank you for the help. I do not know how to install the gaming services regularly so could you possibly help me with that aswell? Thank you. Also I am doing good, how are you?

Hello,

The first part here didnt help at all as deleting those services left my PC thinking Gaming Services was installed when it no longer was. I followed this to get it back: Error 0x80073D26 or 0x00000001 occurs when you try to install, update, or launch a game on a Windows 10 device | Xbox Support

And the upgrade reinstall worked a treat

Before we try any different solutions, please check if your windows are updated to version 21h1, if not update it.

To update your windows follow the instructions below.

Select the Start button and then go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update.

*If there are no updates to be made, or if you update the system and the problem persists, please try the alternatives below.

Solution 1:

Open RegEdit as an administrator and delete the following Services:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

PC reboot

Install gaming service like you would normally

Solution 2:

Go to your windows settings, go to the tab>applications and resources>Search for Gaming Services, click on it, go to advanced options, and tap repair.

*If it doesn't work, try the alternative below.

Download the Create Windows 10 installation media application from the link below, at the end of the download run the application, and then follow the instructions given by the program at the end click on upgrade. Rest assured none of your files will be lost, this is a system restore that will try to fix this error.

if pc then you need to download from epic as on pc it has nothing to do with microsoft.
