    Hi, so basically I tried turning on my controller and not a single button works. I tried holding down the power button to reset it but it wouldn’t even turn off the controller.

    Update: all the buttons worked for a second, then it stopped again and now the controller turned off. Turned it again it’s working, but not sure for how long. Is there any fix to this if it happens again?

    Hi there Golden welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Is this happening on PC or console? Also, did it repair itself or did you do some troubleshooting?

    I tried it in different controllers and have tried friends working headsets in my controllers - nothing worked.

    Hi there, thankyou for your reply. I've tried both. I tried my headset in my sons ps4 and works fine. I tried his head set in my xbox controller and his didn't work either, also tried another controller and nothing...I think it must be my settings somewhere along the lines I've got wrong...I've updated my controller but still nothing. I have headphone icon on so it knows it there but still nothing....🙃

    Xbox One controller recognized but not doing anything.

    With the controller plugged in I opened the joy.cpl and there is nothing shown. The cable I'm using is the one that came with the controller, it works because on my old pc it worked fine. I did try different cables and the same thing happened, there was
