Nothing loads

First of all a message came up while playing fifa18 saying searching for account details. Then the game wouldn't load up, then none of the other games or apps would load. Now I can't even go to the settings or sign into my profile. I've tried hard reset
and clearing cache but it doesn't work.

Every app I try to load comes up kicks me back to home. every game I try to play disc or download I click them they pop up and kicks me right back to home screen. rebooted system now paddle wont sync Kinect wont control anything wont pick up voice. it
just turns on now and sits at home and wont sign in or anything. tried rebooting a few times.

Nothing on my xbox will load. No apps or games. It won't even let me sign in. It always says it's taking too long and gives me the option to close it or get help. I tried the get help option and that won't even load. Told me to press B and try again. Can
anyone help me?

It's been 3 days now, surely it shouldn't take this long and why doesn't it affect everyone?

 

Did you tried to remove your account from your console and re add it again?

 

I did try to remove my profile but the settings menu wouldn't load either. I've just managed to sign in after yet another hard reset but now I'm back to the games not loading up.

 

I have just found out that it's my external hard drive that's stopping my games from loading. But most of games are saved to this, do you have any idea on how to fix this without losing all my saved data? I've had it for nearly 2 years with any problems.
Also this doesn't explain why I couldn't sign in

Sorry to hear about your current concern with losing saved data.

• What device are you using (Xbox 360, Xbox One)?

In case you are using the Xbox One, Saved games are automatically stored in the cloud while you're connected to Xbox Live.

Your data is stored to both your hard drive and the cloud. You must have a regular connection to Xbox Live to keep your data in sync. Playing offline may cause your cloud data to become out of sync. Your data updates each time you connect to Xbox Live. For

After doing the other troubleshooting steps, I would recommend to
Factory Reset, Keep Games & apps to help refresh the operating system of the Xbox console.
Note: Please make sure to know your account email and password for your profiles, this step will log you off all the profiles.
