Nothing is working on my Xbox One, Help!

I've never until yesterday had any issue with my Xbox One.

The problem started the other week when I discovered I was somehow randomly appearing offline to some people, not all. A friend had a similar issue previously and suggested I reset my Xbox. I do this on a somewhat regular basis to clear the cache. I held the power button for 10 seconds to reset. The power shut down and after waiting a moment I unplugged the Xbox and hit the power a few times to discharge any remaining charge to the system.

After 10-15 minutes I plug the Xbox back in and this is were things went to pot. After powering up the Xbox, game and app icons won't appear. I try hitting the Xbox button to go to the menu but the screen greys out and nothing appears. I wait 30 minutes thinking maybe some update is hogging resources and icons do eventually come back, however, no games or apps will open. They just time out. It gives me the report issue prompt but when I choose to report issue, that times out as well.

After an hour, I can finally get into settings to check for updates, etc. Everything is up to date. As I still can't open anything else I chose to reset the Xbox again. And after another hour of messing around, again. Finally, after 3rd reset all seems to be well. Games and apps work, but the "Xbox insider App," Microsoft Purchase Host," and Disney+" are locked in update status only to time out and be unusable. I decide I can live with that as other apps are working and use the Xbox for the remainder of the day.

Then comes today. Normal power up seems to go fine. The 3 previously listed apps still won't update and still are unusable. I try to open other games/apps but they all time out. I try to open settings, it times out. Try to report issues, that times out. Looked up all the error codes given, no answers found.

I have no idea what is going on or what to try next. Please, someone help!
