Nothing downloads. Help please

Hi, apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, I have got to a stage where I am unsure what the issue is.

I have a problem with my xbox one where nothing will download, literally nothing (apps, game dlc and digital downloads). What happens is I click download and then a black screen comes up with a green circle spinning and then it takes me back to the previous
screen after about 30 seconds.

I have been able to download stuff when I log into my friends xbox on my account so I know it is not an account issue. I also haven't changed service providers recently (still with BT). This is an ongoing issue since back end of 2015. I also have plenty
of space on my hard drive

Is anyone else having a similar problem? Or does anyone know how to fix the problem? I have been on the phone to Xbox support but so far we have got no where doing the stand things like switching everything off etc.

Thanks for the support message.

Have you tried to power cycle your Xbox One by holding down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until it shuts off, wait about 60 seconds, then turn it back on? If not give that a go! Also, make sure we have the console
plugged directly into a wall outlet, no extension cords or surge protectors.

If that doesn't work, check the console for updates by going to Settings>System>Console info & updates. If there are no updates available or you still run into the problem after the update, restore the console to factory defaults in that same menu that
you check for updates.

try a hard reset, hold the power button until it switches off.

 

If that doesn't work you might try logging out of your console and logging back in.

 

Hi, thanks for your options. We have tried this multiple times but still nothing. We have unplugged the router etc. Tried a wired connection as well still nothing.

Are there any other options? I am trying to resist a factory reset.
