Nothing but problems since update

I've had nothing but problems since the latest update. Friends keep disappearing even though they are on. All the sections except for the home section on the home screen disappear ALOT and take forever to reload. STILL have the issue where pushing the home
button will NOT bring me to the home menu... Double tap and long press does what its suppose to. Even telling it to go home with the kinect does nothing.

unplug from the mains and see if that helps it may not but i have heard it can do leave it off for good 5mins

I completely understand your frustration, however your answer would be better met over on Call of Duty's official forums. Below I will provide you with a link to them forums as well as the support portal for Activision. That game has been subject to a number
of bugs at the moment so I would advise going straight through to customer support, you will have the option to talk to someone via a chat. They should be able to troubleshoot all of your problems for you.

The April update turned my Xbox into a BRICK and Microsoft wants $115 to fix it. You're lucky your machine even turns on.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Have you tried to power cycle your console? This can fix any number or problems, so is worth a try

To do this, when the system is on, hold the power button on the front of the machine down for 10seconds until it turns off, then I would also just unplug the brick from the console and outlet, and leave it sit for a couple of minutes. Then fire it all back
up, and hopefully (fingers crossed) is will work for you.

If not, report back and we will take it from there

I have had lots of problems too. Not only do I have to reinstall every single game, but it took numerous attempts to get me TV to work and power on and off. This has to be the worse update that I have experienced.

 

I'm having the same problem as you Max and Microsoft's response to this is tough look and if you want it to be fixed its going to cost you £115. I've already spent close to £750 on games alone only had it 14 months and its broke and its been broke by downloading
there update.

 

Same. I've got hundreds of dollars of digital content that I can never access again unless I give into Microsoft's repair extortion program. Xbox Live Gold subscriber for 11 years.

 

On Saturday I bought Forza Horizon 2 and put my Xbox online for the first time in ages.

It prompted me to download the update. After doing so it stood stuck on the "applying update" screen for over an hour. So I went to work and left the system running. When I got home and turned it on, the system was stuck on the green loading screen.

Sunday morning I googled Everything in the world and figured out the steps for USB diagnosistic tool.

I tried them all perfectly and they all stopped on the same spot: the "Applying Update" screen.

So I decided to just factory reset the whole system. Guess what? That doesn't work either.

Called customer service and they told me it was faulty hardware. But its not. It was the update.

On Friday night alone I played Devil May Cry and Mortal Kombat X all night perfectly.

On Saturday afternoon I played Forza for two whole hours with absolutely no problems until I tried to go online to buy a car pack and was prompted to update.

This is crap. With everything I've been reading online, it really does seem like Microsoft is extorting us.

And is anyone even monitoring these forums. It seems like they just press a button and give everyone the same response ( Mr. Quimby ) just like customer service reads off the script. Everytime i call, someone new tells me the EXACT same line: " I understand
how you are feeling. I too feel frustrated when this happens. Lets see what we can do to help:... you know what would help? stop repeating the same lines. Let me speak to someone in charge who knows what they are talking about. Because as much as anyone wants
me to believe that i broke my own Xbox One, i didn't. All i did was apply a mandatory update that i was forced to download. This isn't good business, and i wholeheartedly wish i would have purchased a Playstation 4 when i had the chance.

Yes same my dam achievements are not showing the activity list is not updating and the leader boards don't update anymore . Are you guys trying to make the worse running console this gen because its miles ahead of the other consoles in issues . So tired
of this what the hell am i paying money for even when Sony was free for psn it was 100 times more stable than Xbox live on the x1 has been.

 

Sorry to say agentantz... But PlayStation is having the SAME issue

 

Oh and the power cycle no longer fixes ANYTHING.... MAYBE for that next power on... But anytime after that, its always the same

 

sorry to say ps4 is not having those issues as i play it daily it is down very rarely and the interface works perfect . to say they have the same issues is laughable at best because when they do you see it on there forums as most real gamers who game on
all the systems speak up when there are issues and of late the x1 has been a mess from broken interface to whats happening again tonight were its shows you have no friends online and leader boards or anything don't work properly and tons of apps are down to
this has been going on since 2 in the afternoon and its 9pm now and still same B>S> . why do we pay i can get it if it was once every few weeks but this is happening 3 times a week and its daily when gamer pics don't load or leader boards don't want to update
and when i pay for something i expect it to work how its supposed to . The worst part is there bloody Microsoft and Sony is able to have a better service in the way that all Sony systems are one hive mind as i can see or check my data , downloads or trophies
from my ps3 , ps4 or vita or psp but the xbox one does not communicate its separate its bloody sad that my 360 can show my achievements and score for my windows games but the x1 cant and its so behind the time on the digital store front

 

Sorry to say that YES Sony has had the same problems where their updates have bricked their systems and they say the owners have to pay to have it fixed. I've read it all over.

As for what you said was happening tonight on Xbox... I had no such problems. Everything was working fine for me.

 

Still no fix to this problem I can't believe we are expected to pay for a repair when its MICROSOFT'S UPDATE that has caused the problem.
