Not used XBox Live Gold token has expired.

Hi,

I bought a 3 month subscription card at a store but I cannot use it. When I try to reedeem the code it says : "Token has expired and can not be exchanged".

Does such a code has an expiration date?

Because if it is so there is no information about that and I had not been warned by the saler.

If there is no expiration date how can I use my code to get my subscription?

My xbox live gold renewed with an expired credit card without money

So i had the option to renew my xbox live gold on ( automatically renews xbox live gold) for 3 months but the credit card i used was a once use credit card and i used it and bought 3 months gold until 13 january 2014.

i forgot to turn off the option to automatically renew gold.

today 13 january 2014 my xbox live gold was renewed by the same credit card that has expired so what do i do ?

Depending on the token and the retailer deal tokens can indeed have expiration dates.

We would suggest reaching out to the seller of that token to see if they can provide additional info or a refund for the item since you were not properly informed.

Sorry to hear it. What you'll need to do here is contact the person or store that you bought the token from. Some codes did expire a few years ago but that policy changed. Perhaps you were sold one of those.

Does it say the code has expired? If it was from a promotion, almost always they state things such as "Must be redeemed within x number of days (such as 45 days)". If that time frame elapsed that would by why.

Some codes do have expiry dates (usually ones that are given as a gift or part of a promotion). That is why you get the message. If you get codes as part of a free gift or promotion, then it's best to redeem them within a few days of purchase, otherwise
they will expire.

Request a Callback from Xbox Support so that they can look into this more directly for you as they have the tools to do so.
Pick a topic (I recommend Account), it's going to ask if you want help from the virtual agent select
no thanks,pick the category(error messages and codes)and just pick a contact method
(request a call from support or Chat is faster).
