    Not updating when checking for updates


    Hi ive had to remove my account and tried to add as my console wasnt connecting to xbox live eventhough it was connected to the internet, however it didnt let me add the account back as the option wasnt working . So i reset my console and now it keeps
    saying there is a problem with the update even though the internet is fine, ive tried fully restarting my internet but the same error message is appearing

    Why does the Xbox One console not actively search for game updates until after the game disc is inserted?

    I have that setting set to on (check-marked). It still will only update the game when I stick the disc in as it checks for updates for that game only when it reads the disc. Still does not explain why it won't look for updates when the setting is already set to update automatically.

    I turned my xbox on to check up on the update and now theres no update. When I checked latest update status under settings, it reads update pending..wtf is going on with all these updates?theyre not even working.

    There is no "Check online for updates from Microsoft Update," option, but Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update didn't find anything new (updates are automatically installed), and "Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows,"
    under advanced options is checked.

    Thank you for the update. Kindly make sure that everything is up to date even if it's just optional when you check if there is an update on your PC.

    Settings > Updates & Security > Check for updates.
