Not understanding FINAL FANTASY XIV

I live in the US as well but hackers use the EA servers to enter xbox live. Some people got their account taken from this move. This is why MS didnt want the whole EA server but they were forced right after EA bought the NFL license for Madden.

 

Why don't SE just make Xbox player play with each other. Problem solved.

 

That is what I been saying. There is more then enough XBOX 360 and XBOX ONE players to fill the servers.

 

EA servers are the WORST, as are games that take place during Medieval times.

 

I know defiance did and it work really well. Beside the game being a flop for lack of content.

 

Defiance was a step in the right direction, but unfortunately they stepped right in a pile of sh*t. Great ideas and the combat was pretty decent, but you can only polish a turd so much. It was still a turd even when the bugs were worked out, but a healthy
turd with potential!

I did some research and Live wasn't hacked because of FIFA. It was the same thing that's happening everywhere, phished accounts.

It's a MMO, cross platform gives you the player base to keep the game alive. End game requires groups/raids, when you don't have enough players the game dies. PC MMO's are going to cross server groups/raids just for that reason.

Look at the complaints of ESO requiring a monthly sub on the console. FF wouldn't have had a prayer on the Xbox's. Even PC MMO's are having a harder time convincing players to cough up a monthly sub.

 

Wont argue on EA severs but Medieval I will.

 

Square Enid have published multiple good games, I'm not sure where you are getting "only dragon themed games" from.

 

The main deal is this, I can sum it up pretty easily. Any multiplayer game coming out that looks exciting as all hell, the ones we talk to our friends about everyday till release, will most likely play like an alpha or beta when it releases. We buy betas
like idiots, heck I do it all the time! I pay full price for games that barely work for weeks or months after I buy them. We are a big bunch of idiots, and developers know this and take advantage of our spontaneous impatient game buying habits. Hopefully
they can bring an MMO RPG to Xbox One without it feeling like a beta on release day. This is a good example of "doing more".

 

They need to bring something because we don't have any rpg

 

PC, PS3, and PS4 Final Fantasy XIV players all play together and there is a valid excuse as to why it's not on the Xbox 360/Xbox One.

Square is set on making it cross platform, which is the right thing to do. Microsoft is set on keeping Xbox Live closed off and exclusive to help protect it, which is also right.

Microsoft isn't going to lose much by denying Square an exception to FFXIV, and Square will not gain much by putting the game on the system. If you want an MMO, you have Elder Scrolls to look forward to soon.

 

ESO looks like dog dropping.

There is still no excuse for SE not to put the game just for xbox 360 and xbox one players together on its own. Sega did just fine doing that with PSU. So if anybody is *** this its Square-Enix and they know it too.

Cross Platform is not a big deal at all.

So it seems unless Microsoft has a rethink about its Xbox Live policies, Xbox gamers will have to make do with single-player Final Fantasy titles for the time being
