Not understanding FINAL FANTASY XIV

they dont care about cutting off the monthly subscription because that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

This is on SE part, they knew coming into making FFXIV that they know in the back of their mind that its not going to work again.

So again why not have just a server for XBOX 360 and XBOX together, they are more then enough consoles out their to make money.

A bit late to react....The first version came out in 2010 and the new version is available since mid 2013.

If that is in reference to my statement I didn't say they wanted the subscription removed I said they wanted a piece of it.

Already by now we would have this game already but yet because SE dont like money I guess they have to only get money from 2 platforms.

 

I'm not sure why you still think this is Square's fault.

Cross platform servers are a huge perk in this type of game and MS wouldn't allow it. They also wanted a chunk of the subscription fee which they would more than likely have to raise if it came to the Xbox.

Blame for it not being here is on MS.

 

how is it on MS when Square Enix knew that this wasnt going to happen. MS is not going to have XBOX LIVE exposed to other servers in the same network just for it to get hacked?

I don't know about you guys but I have been a live member the day it was out and I remember that MS didn't want EA servers on Xbox live because it will damage the live, which it did (FIFA).

ESO asked for this and MS said no and they created a MEGA SERVER for them. But then SONY said no to ESO for them to create also its own MEGA SERVER but let Square-Enix have PS3, PS4, and PC? That don't seem obviously strange to anyone?

That is why I say I blame Square_Enix

 

Sony sold all their shares of Square Enix so they prob made up for it. I think they owned a third of the total shares. They originally made a deal with Square Enix so we (Xbox) only got dragon themed games for 10 years straight. It worked, and there will
be plenty more dragon themed medieval games to come YAYYYY! Where is that "I Guarantee it" meme when we need it!?

Cross platform servers won't get Live hacked. No sure what Sony has to do with this, it's on the PC so it's not just their platforms.

You're logging into a SE account and playing on their servers so how you're getting there is irrelevant.

 

same how you logged in EA server and look what happen there with FIFA

 

maybe this is to far complex for you to answer unless you have 10+ years in networking security under your belt.

 

I have no idea what happened in FIFA ( I live in the US where there is only one football ;p).
